Ellesse is a British apparel company originally founded in Perugia, Umbria, Italy in 1959 by Leonardo "Mantis" Servadio. The name Ellesse derives from the founder initials. In 1994, 90% of Ellesse shares got purchased by Pentland Group, a British company.
